  • All breakfasts and all dinners. Dinners at upscale restaurants not at the hotel. Wine included with all dinners.

  • Guided Tours and Tour Fees ~ Our tour guides are very caring, licensed, and well educated. Many of our guides have their PhD's.
  • Luggage handling (1 suitcase and 1 carry-on per person)
  • Single Supplement (as long as the passengers is willing to room with someone and allows us to provide them with a roommate. If the passenger wants a guaranteed room to of their own, then they have to pay the $900 single supplement)
  • Remember: Our trips are not more expensive during high season ~ Passengers will never be expected to pay extra for anything while on the trip ~ We always wait for passengers and never leave anyone behind.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1~Sept 28: Departure from USA.

Day 2~Sept 29: Arrival in Rome. Scavi Tour if possible. Tour St. Mary Major, the main Basilica dedicated to Mary in Rome. We will see the remains of Jesus' manger, the tomb of Bernini, the remains of St. Matthew the Evangelist, the tomb of St. Jerome, and the oldest icon in the world of the Virgin Mary painted by St. Luke: the famous Salus Populi Romani. Visit the Basilica of St. Paul outside the Wall where the body of St. Paul is buried. It is the 2nd largest basilica in Rome and the 5th in the world. Dinner at Piazza Navona, “the livingroom of Rome”. Overnight in Rome.

Day 3~Sept 30: Tour of St. Peter’s Basillica, the largest Basilica in the world and the creation of both Michaelangelo and Bernini. Papal audience if he does one, If he doesn’t do one, Spanish Steps where the Romand hang out at night, the famous Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon, the oldest functional building in the world. Dinner in Rome, Evening – holy hour and confessions at a Church TBA. Overnight in Rome.

Day 4~Oct 1: Ordination 3 hours in the morning, reception afterwards is by invitation only for friends and family of Jim. Other passengers' dinner will be provided by Proximo Travel. Overnight in Rome.

Day 5~Oct 2: Morning Mass of Thanksgiving (Jim’s first time preaching) at Church TBA, Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel, Castel Gandolfo (The Pope’s summer residence) for dinner. Overnight in Rome.

Day 6~Oct 3: Free day, shopping, Jim’s ideas or people pick their own things, Vigil Mass for Sunday, Dinner in Rome, pack. Overnight in Rome.

Day 7~Oct 4: Our private bus brings us to the airport in Rome to fly back to USA.

Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites Sept be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards.
