    Trip Includes

  • Flights from anywhere in the United States and flights between countries as per your itinerary. (all necessary flights on your trip are included)
  • Daily Mass is available but not mandatory. Proximo Travel always has one or more Catholic Priests accompanying the group as chaplain(s).

  • 4 or 5 star hotels in downtown areas.
  • Transportation with luxury bus.
  • All breakfasts and all dinners. Dinners take place at upscale restaurants not at the hotel. (Except in the Holy Land, at the Shrines, or when there is a long day of travel and the circumstances necessitate it.) Wine included with all dinners.
  • All tips to driver, hotel, and tour guide. If you feel that the tour guide did a great job, offering them extra tips is greatly appreciated.
  • Guided Tours and Tour Fees - Our tour guides are very caring, licensed, and well educated. Many of our guides have their PhD's.
  • Luggage handling (1 suitcase and 1 carry-on per person)
  • Single Supplement (as long as the passengers is willing to room with someone and allows us to provide them with a roommate. If the passenger wants a guaranteed room to of their own, then they have to pay the $900 single supplement)
  • Remember: Our trips are not more expensive during high season ~ Passengers will never be expected to pay extra for anything while on the trip ~ We always wait for passengers and never leave anyone behind.

Steps for Registration

  1. Call us (855) 842-8001 or register online with a credit card and pay your $500 deposit per person to save your spot. The $500 deposit is part of the total price of the trip
  2. A $1,000 Airfare Deposit (AD) per person is due one month from the registration. The AD is paid ONLY in the form of Check (personal, money order, or bank check)
  3. The balance is due 4 months before the trip departure date. The balance is paid ONLY in the form of Check (personal, money order, or bank check).

  • NOTE: If you sign up for a trip within 4 months of the departure date, you pay the deposit of $500 with a credit card and the balance is required to be overnighted in the form of a personal check, money order, or bank check.

Trip Itinerary

    Day 1: Depart from the USA.

    Day 2: Arrive in Budapest and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Mass in the "Cave" chapel near the Gellert. This evening, enjoy a welcome drink and orientation at your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Budapest.

    Day 3: Began the day with mass at St. Stephen's cathedral and then a brief tour of the cathedral followed by a panoramic, bus tour of the Pest side of the city. Journey along Andrássy Avenue and see the 19th- and 20th-century mansions, the famous covered market in the three-story Great Market Hall established in 1897, National Opera House, Parliament Building, and Chain Bridge. Stop in Heroes’ Square to learn more about Hungarian history. The afternoon is at your leisure to shop and explore the area on your own. Dinner and overnight in Budapest.

    Day 4: Today we will visit the other side of the Danube over the Elizabeth Bridge to the Buda Hills. Visit Mount Gellert, and then continue to Buda’s Castle District to see the Royal Palace, Fishermen’s Bastion, and the 13th century Matthias Coronation Church to enjoy brilliant views. The afternoon is at your leisure to shop and explore the area on your own. Dinner and overnight in Budapest.

    Day 5: Depart Budapest, in route stop at Bratislava make a sightseeing tour that includes the Gothic St. Martin's Cathedral and the Primate's Palace, have mass at the neo-Classical residence of the Archbishop of Esztergom. Then travel through the beautiful countryside towards the Czech Republic, continuing through Southern Bohemia to the Czech capital, Prague - "The City of a Thousand Spires". Dinner and overnight in Prague.

    Day 6: After breakfast we will tour the city of Prague. We will visit the Castle District including St. Vitus Cathedral and St. George's Basilica. Admire the views of Charles Bridge and the Lesser Town. Continue past the Jewish Quarter and walk to the Old Town Square to view the famous Town Hall Astronomical Clock. Dinner and overnight in Prague.

    Day 7: Today is at leisure, enjoy a late breakfast and spend time shopping or revisit some of the sites you saw yesterday. The tour guide will be available to assist you if necessary. Dinner and overnight in Prague.

    Day 8: In the morning we'll stop in Kutna Hora to visit the world famous Chapel of Skulls. This unusual chapel as built in 1776 by the local parish priest Waclaw Tomaszek. Afterwards we will cross the border to Wroclaw, Poland situated on the River Oder; it is the largest city in South Western Poland. Visit its UNESCO World Heritage Centennial Hall and its market square with its 14th century Town Hall. Stroll through the cathedral island and visit St. Elisabeth Church as well as its St. Mary Magdalene Church. Dinner and overnight in Wroclaw.

    Day 9: In route to Warsaw stop in Czestochowa. Visit Our Lady of Czestochowa, Poland's greatest pilgrimage shrine, where there will be mass. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.

    Day 10: After breakfast, Mass will be at St. James Church, the church of St. Faustina when she arrived in Warsaw. Pass through the infamous Warsaw Ghetto area, along the Royal Route with its aristocratic mansions, and see the Old Town and the Royal Castle. Wander around the Old Town perfectly reconstructed so that the houses still lean on one another as if with age. Although it was completely destroyed during WWII, it was rebuilt so painstakingly that in 1980 it was inscribed on the UNESCO Heritage List. You will have the opportunity to see the Old Town Market Square, the New Town, The Barbican, St. John's Cathedral, the Royal Castle, and the Saxon Gardens with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Lovely cafes edge the central square; sit and watch the world go by surrounded by the multi-colored buildings, imagining life here before WWII. Tour the Royal Castle another reconstruction but with much of the original furniture, which was saved. In front is grand Castle Square, used for speech-making and by local skateboarders, performers etc. See Zymunt's Column, an original 17th century memorial to a Polish King, and wander down Royal Route which becomes Nowy Swiat. This is the main shopping street and also has lovely cafes. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.

    Day 11: After breakfast, we will visit Warsaw's Great Theater with an interesting Apollonian Quadriga in its tympanum, and stroll along the Royal Route to the Holy Cross Church containing the urn with Chopin's heart. You can prolong your tour visiting the Warsaw City Museum or have a coffee at the famous Blikle Cafe. The modern interactive museum has exhibits that clearly show the damage and suffering during the Nazi-occupation. The afternoon is at leisure for you to relax or see the impressive Baroque royal residence area Wilanow, once a home to King John III Sobieski. The city was the birthplace of Chopin and there is a monument to the composer in Lazienki Park. The original 1926 monument was destroyed during the war but this replica is a popular meeting place and location for concerts. Lazienki Park is a lovely treed space and also has the Lazienki Palace on an island in the lake.Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.

    Day 12: Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight back to U.S.A.

    Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas.
