  • Guided Tours and Tour Fees ~ Our tour guides are very caring, licensed, and well educated. Many of our guides have their PhD's.
  • Luggage handling (1 suitcase and 1 carry-on per person)
  • Single Supplement (as long as the passengers is willing to room with someone and allows us to provide them with a roommate. If the passenger wants a guaranteed room to of their own, then they have to pay the single supplement)
  • Remember: Our trips are not more expensive during high season ~ Passengers will never be expected to pay extra for anything while on the trip ~ We always wait for passengers and never leave anyone behind.

Steps for Registration

  1. Call us (855) 842-8001 or register online with a credit card and pay your $500 deposit per person to save your spot. The $500 deposit is part of the total price of the trip
  2. The balance is due 4 months before the trip departure date. The balance is paid ONLY in the form of Check (personal, money order, or bank check).

  • NOTE: If you sign up for a trip within 4 months of the departure date, you pay the deposit of $500 with a credit card and the balance is required to be overnighted in the form of a personal check, money order, or bank check.

Trip Itinerary

    Saturday, October 22: Start the day with morning Mass prior to our 8:00am departure from the parish parking lot. Full day of travel with stops along the way for lunch and dinner before arriving at our hotel in Richmond, VA or shortly before if the distance necessitates it.

    Sunday, October 23: After breakfast at the hotel we will attend the 11:00 am Mass at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Following Mass we will have a tour of the Cathedral and lunch before we depart for Philadelphia. Upon arrival in the area of Philadelphia, we will check into the Sheraton Suites Downtown Wilmington, DE and then have dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in the area of Philadelphia, PA.

    Monday, October 24: Today we will begin with breakfast at the hotel before setting out for a day in the city of Brotherly Love. We will begin with a visit to the Shrine of St. Rita of Cascia. Then we will see the Liberty Bell, the Philadelphia Museum of Art (known for the ‘Rocky Steps’), and the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul, as well as several other sites, all within walking distance of each other. We will also take some time for lunch at Reading Terminal Market before our bus takes us to the St. John Neumann Shrine and finally the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal. We will have dinner at a local restaurant and return to the hotel for overnight in the area of Philadelphia, PA.

    Tuesday, October 25: We will depart this morning after breakfast at the hotel for America’s First Cathedral, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to being a Minor Basilica, the church is also a National Shrine, Marian Shrine, National Historic Landmark, and Co-Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. After celebrating Mass, a tour, and quick lunch; we will continue on to Washington, DC. Upon arrival we will visit the St. John Paul II Museum. After time for personal prayer and devotion, we will make a brief visit to the WW II Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Albert Einstein Memorial; all of which are located in the same area and within walking distance to one another. Then we will get settled in our hotel before dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Washington, DC.

    Wednesday, October 26: We will begin our day by celebrating Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, there will be time for personal prayers and devotions. We will visit Union Station for a late lunch before our bus drops us off at the Mall where you can choose to visit the United States Capitol, the Grant Memorial or the National Archives, where the Constitution of the United States is kept. Some other options include the Smithsonian Museums, the Washington Monument and finally the White House. The afternoon is yours to decide, just meet the group for dinner and return to our hotel for overnight in Washington, DC.

    Thursday, October 27: Today we will begin by crossing the Potomac River and visiting the Iwo Jima Memorial and Arlington where we will see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Kennedy Graves, Robert E. Lee House, and the Arlington National Cemetery. Then we will visit the St. Augustine’s Catholic Church to celebrate Mass before going to the Eastern Market for a late lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the Tidal Basin as well as the Franklin Roosevelt Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial. After dinner we will return to our hotel for overnight in Washington, DC.

    Friday, October 28: This morning we will get an early start as we check out of our hotel and depart for home. We will make stops along the way to stretch and have lunch and dinner; arriving back to the church late.

    Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards.
