  • All tips to driver, hotel, and tour guide. If you feel that the tour guide did a great job, offering them extra tips is greatly appreciated.
  • Guided Tours and Tour Fees ~ Our tour guides are very caring, licensed, and well educated. Many of our guides have their PhD's.
  • Luggage handling (1 suitcase and 1 carry-on per person)
  • Single Supplement (as long as the passengers is willing to room with someone and allows us to provide them with a roommate. If the passenger wants a guaranteed room to of their own, then they have to pay the $900 single supplement)
  • Remember: Passengers will never be expected to pay extra for anything while on the trip ~ We always wait for passengers and never leave anyone behind.

Steps for Registration

  1. Call us (855) 842-8001 or register online with a credit card and pay your $500 deposit per person to save your spot. The $500 deposit is part of the total price of the trip
  2. A $1,000 Airfare Deposit (AD) per person is due one month from the registration. The AD is paid ONLY in the form of Check (personal, money order, or bank check)
  3. The balance is due 4 months before the trip departure date. The balance is paid ONLY in the form of Check (personal, money order, or bank check).

  • NOTE: If you sign up for a trip within 4 months of the departure date, you pay the deposit of $500 with a credit card and the balance is required to be overnighted in the form of a personal check, money order or bank check.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Departure from USA.

Day 2: Arrival. Visit St Mary Major, the Basilica dedicates to the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rome. Celebrate Mass at St. Mary Major. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 3: Tour of St. Peter’s in the Vatican followed by Holy Hour. Lunch around the area of the Vatican. In the afternoon, go to the breathtaking Catacombs where 500,000 people were buried. Celebrate Mass at the Catacombs and spend some time in prayer in the area of the Catacombs. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 4: Mass at St Peter’s followed by the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel (the Pope's private Chapel). Visit St. Peter’s in Chain and St. John lateran, the first Basilica built in the Roman Empire. Long pants, capris, or skirts below the knee, shoulders covered. Time to rest before dinner in the area of the hotel. Red and white wine included. Overnight in Rome.

Day 5: We will have an early start as our private bus leaves around 7:00 am to the Vatican to experience the 10:00 am Audience with the Pope. There will be time for lunch in the area of the Vatican, before we visit the Spanish Steps. This is the place where the Romans hung out. From there we will walk to Trevi Fountain, and have time for shopping. Followed by a walk to the Pantheon, the oldest functional building in the world, and then to the great artistic place of Piazza Navona where we will celebrate Mass. Dinner at Piazza Navona. Red and white wine included. Casual Dress throughout the day. Overnight in Rome.

Day 6: Drive to Siena. Tour of Siena. Visit this beautiful medieval city with its center gathered within ancient walls which hold beautiful monuments and museums. Visit the Piazza del Campo, Palazzo Comunale and Torre del Mangia. Visit the Duomo which is a majestic example of Romanesque-Gothic Style. Dinner in Siena and overnight in Siena.

Day 7: Drive to Assisi. Visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, at the foothills of Assisi. Mass at Santo Stefano. Dinner and overnight in Assisi.

Day 8: Spend a full day in Assisi taking in the tranquility of the mountain village. Tour of San Damiano. See the tombs of St. Francis and St. Clare; enjoy a peaceful walk on the streets of Assisi. Optional: Eremo delle carceri. Dinner and overnight in Assisi.

Day 9: Leave Assisi early for day in Padova. Tour and pray at Basilica of St. Anthony, where we celebrate Mass. Visit the Scrovegni Chapel with its Giotto frescos; and enjoy some free time in the town. Dinner and overnight in Venice.

Day 10: Early start. Mass at St. Mark’s Basilica. Tour of Venice: an amazing city built on water. Visit St. Mark's plaza. Optional: Gondola ride and shopping. Long pants if you intend to go inside St. Mark's. Casual dress if you intend to go on a Gondola ride or spend time shopping and visiting the beautiful streets and bridges of Venice. Dinner and overnight in Venice.

Day 11: Our private bus brings us to the airport in Venice to fly back to USA.

Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas.
