Steps For Registration

  1. Call us (855) 842-8001 or register online with a credit card and pay your $500 deposit per person to save your spot. The $500 deposit is part of the total price of the trip.
  2. A $1,000 Additional Deposit (AD) per person is due one month from the registration. The AD is paid ONLY in the form of Check (personal, money order, or bank check).
  3. The balance is due 4 months before the trip departure date. The balance is paid ONLY in the form of Check (personal, money order, or bank check).

    • Saturday June 10 - Day 1: Departure from USA.
    • Sunday June 11 - Day 2: Arrive in Naples and check-in at hotel in downtown Sorrento. Learn how to make Neopolitan pizza. Dinner and overnight in Sorrento.
    • Monday June 12 - Day 3: After breakfast, stop in Gragnano, a Vesuvian village with an outstanding reputation for artisan Pasta. You will visit one of the most ancient Pasta Factories (the only one in the world where they still make Fusilliby hand). Here you will discover the secrets of perfect dough making, from selecting the best ingredients to shaping, cutting with authentic bronze implements and drying at the correct low temperature. The culmination of this experience will be a complete meal tasting the various forms of pasta and appreciate the distinctive local cuisine in a warm and hospitable environment. Local wine is included
    • Tuesday June 13 - Day 4: The Island of Capri is the greatest place for many people. Optional: visit the extraordinary beautiful Blue Grotto with its limestone bottom. Tour the island, shopping, and swimming. Late afternoon cooking lesson on the art of making gnocchi ~ ricotta, semolina, or potato. Dinner and dancing by the water in Capri. Red and white wine included. Casual Dress throughout the day. Overnight in Sorrento.
    • Wednesday June 14 - Day 5: After breakfast, departure from your Villa by private transfer to the oldest Mozzarella Factory on the Sorrento Peninsula. During this fabulous excursion, you will enjoy a personalized tour of the cheese factory, see an authentic mozzarella cheese demonstration and learn how it has been produced, from the first drop of milk to the final product. Finally, you will be invited to try your hand at making your very own mozzarella cheese! Tastings follow. Dinner and overnight in Sorrento.
    • Thursday June 15 - Day 6: After breakfast, enjoy a gourmet Panini and focaccia extravaganza. Panini and Focaccia are another symbol of the Italian simple, easy and fun cooking style! We are selecting the best quality artisan breads and focaccia, gourmet condiments (include sweet, savory and/or spicy options) and your lunch will be transformed into a full-on Panini bar! Next, visit one of the best artisan ice-cream producers of the Campania Region. Ingredients like the oval shaped lemon from Amalfi, the oranges from Sorrento, the nuts from Giffoni, the white figs from Cilento, the ricotta from the dairy farms of Vico Equense will be combined into irresistible temptations, even for the most discerning palates.     • Friday June 16 - Day 7: Off to Ravello after a leisurely breakfast. The views associated with some of the lookout points are beyond words. We will take time to stroll the grounds of Villa Rufolo and the famous Villa Cimbrone. In addition, Ravello has wonderful ceramics, cafes, and other boutique options. Visit a local limoncello producer and take part in some fabulous wine tastings in vineyards that offer beautiful scenic grounds. Dinner at the vineyard and overnight in Sorrento
    • Saturday June 17 - Day 8: There's no food in Naples that can describe the soul of this city more and better than its “Street Foods”! The essence of Naples is revealed without tricks. They have an identity all their own. A natural expression of Neapolitan culture that cannot be found anywhere else. Taste the characteristic small plates like fried pizzas, scagliuzzoli(fried polenta), fried mozzarella, panzarotti(Neapolitan potato balls), homemade bruschetta with sautéed calamari fresh tomato, olives and pine nuts, octopus and potatoes salad, and more! Characteristic Neapolitan live music will accompany the entire Event! Overnight in Sorrento.
    • Sunday June 18 - Day 9: Today we will drive to Rome. Stop and see the incredible city of Pompeii. Afternoon tour from Rome to the Frascati vineyard and Pallavicini vineyard and olive oil groves to learn about the fascinating history of this wine. Visit the Pope's Summer Residence, the charming Castel Gandolfo with its spectacular Lake Albano. Awesome place just like those towns you see on TV. Wine tasting and opening night dinner at 6:00 pm at a local upscale restaurant: eat where the Italians eat. Several courses of delicious Italian food. Red and white wine included. Overnight in Rome.
    • Monday June 19 - Day 10: Late Start. In the morning tour of the Colosseum from the outside, the symbol of the city of Rome, is a great building that has been standing since 80 A.D. After lunch, your Rome food walking tour takes you off the beaten tourist path to the historic Roman neighborhood called Testaccio, an ideal place to get a real taste of Rome. Savor its delicious food, soak in its vibrant culture, and meet the people who keep so many wonderful food traditions alive. Visit the legendary Barberini pastry shop to try its mouth-watering Italian pastries that have been sold for over 50 years. Then, browse gourmet produce at a bustling local food market. While shopping, your guide will introduce you to some of the more colorful characters who work there. Meet the market trader, affectionately known as the ‘Tomato Poet,’ and learn about the 45 varieties of tomatoes that he grows and sells. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
    • Tuesday - June 20 - Day 11: Start the day by visiting the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel (the Pope's private Chapel) and St. Peter's in the Vatican, the largest Basilica in the world. Long pants, capris, or skirts below the knee, shoulders covered. For lunch, continue your tour to the 00100 Pizza Restaurant to try suppli, every Roman's favorite fried rice ball. Sample some of Rome's best pasta along with wine at one of Rome's best restaurants for authentic Roman cuisine. Further highlights include visits to the Giolitti Caffe and Gelateria, where artisan gelato has been made for over a century; an upmarket delicatessen called Lina & Enzo's Alimentari, where you'll try fresh mozzarella di bufala; and the fantastic Volpetti cheese shop, home to 150 regional cheeses. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
    • Wednesday June 21 - Day 12: Private bus around 7:30 am to the Vatican to experience the 10:00 am Audience with the Pope. We will see the Pope very closely; sometimes we even shake his hand. We will visit the Spanish Steps. This is the place where the Romans hung out. Walk to Trevi Fountain for lunch and shopping. Walk to Pantheon, the oldest functional building in the world and then to the great artistic place of Piazza Navona around 4:30 pm. Dinner at Piazza Navona. Red and white wine included. Casual Dress throughout the day. Overnight in Rome.
    • Thursday June 22 - Day 13: Private bus to Airport and departure from Rome back to USA
    • Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas.
