  • Single Supplement If the passenger wants a guaranteed room of their own, they have to pay $1200 for a single supplement. As long as the passenger is willing to room with someone and allows us to provide them with a roommate the single supplement does not apply.
  • Remember: Our trips are not more expensive during high season ~ Passengers will never be expected to pay extra for anything while on the trip.

Steps For Registration

  1. Call us (855) 842-8001 or register online with a credit card and pay your $500 deposit per person to save your spot. The $500 deposit is part of the total price of the trip.
  2. A $1,000 Additional Deposit (AD) per person is due one month from the registration. The AD is paid ONLY in the form of check (personal, money order, or bank check).
  3. The balance is due 4 months before the trip departure date. The balance is paid ONLY in the form of check (personal, money order, or bank check).

  • Trip Itinerary

    Day 1, Sunday September 8: Depart Orlando in afternoon for (indirect) overnight flight to Lisbon.

    Day 2, Monday September 9: Depart Lisbon Airport for Fatima (80 miles), stopping on the way at Santarem to visit the Church of St. Stephen/Church of the Holy Miracle, home to the 13th- century Eucharistic Miracle (Mass). Dinner and overnight in Fatima (2 night stay).

    Day 3, Tuesday September 10: Full day in Fatima (Mass) where Our Lady appeared six times between May 13 and October 13 1917 to three children. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.

    Day 4, Wednesday September 11: After breakfast depart early for Salamanca, Spain (a long drive of 250 miles but on good roads) for afternoon visit and Mass. Continue on (65 miles) for dinner and overnight in Avila (3 night stay).

    Day 5, Thursday September 12: Whole day in Avila, home of Saint Teresa and the Carmelite Reform with morning visits to the Convento de Santa Teresa (birthplace), Convento de la Encarnación and Real Monasterio de Santo Tomás (bus needed). Mass at one of them. Afternoon free. Dinner and overnight in Avila. (reverse Sept. 12 and 13 if Valle de los Caidos is closed on that day).

    Day 6, Friday September 13: Today we take a day trip from Avila (c. 130 miles in all) to Valle de los Caidos, Valley of the Fallen, with its underground church erected by Francisco Franco, the dictator who ruled over Spain from 1939 until 1975, in honor of those who fell during the Spanish civil war (1936-1939). We will attend the community Mass at 11 a.m. Then to Segovia, a picturesque old city with a Roman aqueduct and fine churches. Dinner and overnight in Avila.

    Day 7, Saturday September 14: Depart early for Monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos, famous for their Gregorian Chant (140 miles). Lunch, visit and attend Office of Sext at 1:45 p.m. Continue (40 miles) to Burgos Cathedral (Mass here or at Silos). Dinner and overnight in Burgos.

    Day 8, Sunday September 15: Depart (100 miles) for Sanctuary of Saint Ignatius Loyola, Azpeitia, the birthplace of Saint Ignatius in the Basque country (Mass). Continue to Lourdes (150 miles) for dinner and evening devotions (2 night stay).

    Day 9, Monday September 16: Full day in Lourdes, where Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous18 times between February and July 1858: English Mass at the Grotto, walking tour and varied devotional exercises, including washing at spring. Dinner and overnight. (Rest day for driver).

    Day 10, Tuesday September 17: Early Mass (optional) before driving to Barcelona (300 miles; 5 hours), via the Pyrenees Mountains with lunch stop at Barbastro; or via the coast (longer distance but same time) with lunch stop in Perpignan. Dinner and overnight in Barcelona (3 night stay).

    Day 11, Wednesday September 18: Tour of Barcelona including a visit to Gaudi's Church of the Sagrada Familia, in construction since 1882 and still unfinished and a guided walk through the Gothic Quarter to visit the cathedral (Mass) and the markets. Dinner and overnight in Barcelona.

    Day 12, Thursday September 19: Trip to the mountains of Montserrat (1 hour), home to the Benedictine monastery and Shrine of Our Lady of Montserrat. Mass. Visit to the throne of Our Lady at 12; singing of the Boys’ Choir at 1 p.m. (combined ticket, booked in advance). Afternoon visit to a Cava winery (Freixenet or Cordoniu – both about 50 minutes from monastery). Return for dinner and overnight in Barcelona. (Reverse Sept. 18 and 19, reverse a.m. and p.m., if needed).

    Day 13, Friday September 20: Fly back home.

    Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas.
