Trip Itinerary

July 25: Depart from Atlanta direct flight to Dublin. Arrival next day.

July 26: Upon arrival you will be met at the airport by our local tour guide and board the bus for a tour of Dublin. Check into the hotel, time to freshen up before dinner and overnight in Dublin.

July 27: Tour of Dublin City by Coach: Visit Trinity College to view the Book of Kells followed by an afternoon in Glendalough. Dinner at the Arlington hotel with traditional Irish music and dance show. Overnight in Dublin.

July 28: Today we will travel to Killarney. On our way stop and visit Blarney, famous for its Blarney Castle. Visit the 15th century Blarney Castle to kiss the Blarney stone. Shop at the Blarney Woolen Mill where you find Irish crystal and beautiful Irish linens. Proceed on for dinner and overnight in Killarney.

July 29: Today we will visit Dingle Peninsula: one of the most amazing coastal villages and quaint shops. Enjoy the historical sites dating back to the Stone Age, as well as the Beehive huts, the Gallarus oratory and Kilmalkedar Church. Dinner and overnight in Killarney.

July 30: Leisurely start to the day and drive to Castlebar. Along the way see the Cliffs of Moher: they rise vertically to a height of 650 feet over the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean: a breath taking sight. Check in and prepare for the great Pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick Mountain. Dinner and overnight in Castlebar.

July 31: After breakfast we depart for Croagh Patrick, which is considered the holiest mountain in Ireland. Croagh Patrick is renowned for its Patrician Pilgrimage in honour of Saint Patrick, Ireland's patron saint. The first stop on the pilgrimage is Saint Patrick's statue. At the top, there is a modern chapel where mass is celebrated and confessions are heard. Individuals and groups come from all over the world and include pilgrims, hill climbers, historians, archaeologists and nature lovers. We will spend the whole day at Croagh Patrick before we have dinner and overnight in Castlebar.

August 1: Visit Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, and Ballintubber Abbey. Dinner and overnight in Knock.

August 2: Drive to Our Lady of Knock and enjoy the museums and feel the presence of our Blessed Mother. Dinner and overnight in Knock.

August 3: Our private bus brings us to the airport in Dublin to fly back to USA.

Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas. In addition, because of Jewish holidays and/or when the group is small, we may be able to add a few sites that are not on the itinerary. In order to do that, in some cases we might add one night in a certain hotel and take away a night from the other one.
